James Kessler is a multi-instrumentalist who works with students to nurture their enjoyment of music making. He believes in the importance of developing the whole musician through a progressive approach.
James has supported young musicians in their growth since 1999 when he began his full time career in teaching. He began studying music at age 4 and in 2002 received a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Connecticut, having studied Music Education and Jazz Performance.
A dedicated teacher, James possesses a depth of experience working with a broad range of students, including some who have even received received awards up to the National level. He has affiliation with The Schubert Club of Fairfield County, Connecticut Music Educators Association, Music Teachers National Association, and completed College Board Audit Certification in Advanced Placement Music Theory curriculum design.
