Kelsey Lynn

Inspired by her mother’s piano playing, Kelsey started her musical journey when she was only three years old. She is an award recipient of many national and international competitions and festivals, some of which include Kiwanis Festival, Russian Concerto Competition,
Richmond Music Festivals, and Capilano University Scholarship Competition. Kelsey achieved ABRSM Level 8 at the age of twelve and later obtained her ARCT degree under the teaching of Professor David McCoy. She has collaborated with various talented local singers and instrumentalists throughout her musical journey and accompanied university choirs on tours.

Kelsey is not only passionate about learning music, she is also passionate about teaching music. With twelve years of experience in piano teaching, Kelsey excels in delivering lessons that are tailored to help reach each student’s needs and goals. She has also been teaching music theory in both private and group settings, where she has experience in approaching students of all ages, levels, and learning styles.

Under the teaching of Professor Mark Anderson, Kelsey graduated in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Music with High Distinction from the University of British Columbia. She is now continuing her musical education at the University of Toronto, where she will be pursuing a
Master of Piano Performance and Pedagogy degree, under the teaching of Professor Lydia Wong and Dr. Midori Koga.
