Chiara Urban

Chiara Urban is a singer and composer from Toronto. As both a performer and composer, Chiara has engaged and collaborated with ensembles such as the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Concreamus Chamber Singers, the Elmer Iseler Singers, and the University of Toronto’s Opera Division. She recently graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor’s in Voice and Composition and has studied with notable instructors like Dr. Darryl Edwards and Dr. Abigail Richardson-Schulte.

As an educator, Chiara has taught both privately and in choral settings. She believes in providing a well-rounded experience for her students, ensuring they learn the importance of music theory, interpretation, and musical creation/composition in addition to developing their technical skills. Chiara loves watching her students grow and find their own musical path.

Beyond classical borders, Chiara is actively performing with her self-titled pop-rock band, the Chiara Urban Band. Her pop music, garnering a dedicated following, has led her to headline legendary Toronto venues such as the Horseshoe Tavern, Lula Lounge, and Sneaky Dee’s.
