Bowen Li
Bowen Li is an award winning Australian pianist. Recently a grand finalist and winner of the Leona and Bruce Sterling Prize at the 2022 Australian National Piano Awards, Bowen has also been a finalist in competitions such as the 2014 2MBS FM Young Virtuosi Award, the 2014 Sydney Eisteddfod Scholarship Prize and the 2019 Prix d’Orford. He was also awarded the Licentiate of Music diploma in piano from the Australian Music Examination Board at the age of
15.
Bowen has performed in Australia, North America and Europe. In addition to this, he has also participated and performed in many summer festivals around the world such as the Sydney International Piano Master Class Festival, the Klaviersommer in Germany, the Banff Summer
Master Class Festival and Orford Musique in Canada, the Gijon festival in Spain, and the Bowdoin Music Festival in USA. He has studied with teachers such as Dang Thai Son, Leon Fleisher, Douglas Humphreys, Julian Martin, Robert McDonald, Yong Hi Moon and John Perry.
Bowen is currently studying a Doctorate of Musical Arts in piano performance at the University of Toronto studying with Jamie Parker. He has also completed an Artist Diploma at the Montreal Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of pianist Andre Laplante, a Master of Music at the University of Montreal studying with Jean Saulnier and Bachelor of Music at the Glenn Gould School studying with Professor David Louie.
